Spirits Reviews

BiVi Sicilian Vodka
Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is soft and delicate with notes of chalk and mineral in the lead with citrus zest accents. The palate is not at all what the nose had promised delivering a hot and rather angular attack with pithy lemon notes married with white pepper. Subtle on the nose and fiery on the palate. $29.99 – 2 Stars

Wine Reviews

Beringer Bros. Tequila Barrel Aged Sauvignon Blanc California 2017

Brilliant, medium green/gold color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of grapefruit and lemon curd with supporting notes of citrus zest, fresh herbs, and vanilla. The palate echoes the nose delivering a tropical fruits and citrus-driven core with flavors of lychee, coconut, and lemon grass. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a opulent texture that finishes with tart citrus accents. $17.99 4 Stars/91 points

Verosso Primitivo IGP Salento 2016
Brilliant, medium ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of raspberry and pomegranate with supporting notes of dried herbs and mineral. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red currant, boysenberry, and rhubarb. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a juicy texture. $13 3.5 Stars/89 points
