Beverage of the Week
The name Hacker-Pschorr dates back to the marriage of Teresia Hacker and Joseph Pschorr. Under the couple’s leadership, Hacker-Pschorr advanced to become Munich’s leading major brewery in the 18th century. Hacker-Pschorr, founded in 1417, is one of six breweries to still be operating within Munich’s city limits. See the Beverage of the Week feature
Dow’s Late Bottled Vintage Oporto 2012
Brilliant, dark ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of black cherry and slate with supporting notes of cassis, five spice, violet, and cocoa. The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black fruits and sweet, toasted oak. The finish is long and lingering with silky tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a opulent texture. $24 4.5 Stars/96 points
Old Forester Birthday – 2018 12 Years Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Brilliant, rich mahogany with a hint of orange. The nose is incredibly fruity ranging from baked pears and apples to black cherry with waves of honey, Earl Grey tea, charred oak, roasted nuts, and toffee. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush and robust fruit and caramel-centric core with supporting notes of brown baking spices, honey, and citrus zest. Full-bodied with ideal balance and an amazing depth of flavor that keeps building towards the 30 second finish. One of our favorite Birthday releases to date. $99.99 – 5 Stars
