Beverage of the Week
Rumson’s Grand Reserve Rum
Rumson’s Grand Reserve is the older sibling of their standard Rum (that is far from standard in the glass) being a blend of Rums ranging in age from five to 23 years in age. It’s a big and sweet, old Rum that no doubt has massive appeal with spirits drinkers of all backgrounds… See the Beverage of the Week feature
Gran Passione Spumante Prosecco DOC NV
Brilliant, light gold/green color with a medium bead of bubbles. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of peach and spring flowers with supporting notes of green apple. The palate confirms the nose delivering a green fruit-driven core with flavors of pear and citrus zest. The finish is long and lingering. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture. $13 3.5 Stars/88 points
Antinori Villa Anitnori Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2011
Brilliant, deep scarlet color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of black cherry, raspberry, and baking spices with supporting notes of dried herbs, leather, and red currant. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black fruits and plum. The finish is long and lingering with silky tannins and bright spice accents. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a rich yet vibrant texture. $35 4 Stars/92 points
Tarantula Reposado, 100% Agave Tequila
Pale golden color with perfect clarity. The nose delivers rich, ripe fruit with prominent wood notes including vanilla, brown baking spices, caramel, and toasted oak. The palate confirms the nose with a generous fruit driven core with wood accents and a big dose of black pepper. It finishes rather hot and unbalanced as the alcohol burn washes any remaining agave fruit. $24.99 – 2.5 Stars
