Analysis
Rome De Bellegarde was launched in 2018 when the brand released their now famous "1894", the most expensive Cognac in the world. The family of General Jean-Louis Bellegarde were the first of the Bellegardes to produce Cognac in 1725. The Rome De Bellegarde XO is made with Ugni Blanc grown in the Grande Champgane appellation of Cognac. It is rested in new casks for a period of three to five years and then matured in traditional Cognac oak casks for as many as 30 additional years — greatly surpassing the aging requirements for Cognac XO.
How to Enjoy
The Rome De Bellegarde XO is best enjoyed after dinner — perhaps with an aged cigar or with the finest dark chocolates.
