Appearance
Brilliant, deep amber color.
Aromatics
The nose is filled with rich, caramel soaked grain with supporting notes of dried orchard fruits, allspice, clove, nutmeg, honey, and sweet oak.
Flavor
The palate is in full agreement with the nose as it delivers a rich and spicy, baked orchard fruit core with waves of black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and charred oak.
Intensity & Texture
Full-bodied with bold fruit, caramel, and oak flavors all in balance and checked with a bright dose of acidity.
Cool Factor
We love a great Bourbon regardless of origin. Earl "E-40" Stevens has proven that he has the midas touch with spirits as evidenced with his Kuiper Belt range.
Value Grade
At $85 a bottle the sticker price may keep some Bourbon lovers away but considering its superior quality and the limited nature of this release we are big fans of this Whiskey.
Analysis
Kuiper Belt, by E-40, has done it again with another stunning Kentucky Bourbon. Their debut Bourbon Whiskey aged eight years was an instant hit leaving Whiskey fans to wonder what the follow-up would be or if there was even going to be another Bourbon release from Kuiper Belt. Well it's here and this six year-old Bourbon hits the target. It's made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. The generous portion of rye really shines through with wonderful spice notes on the canvas of sweet corn Bourbon. Get it while it lasts.
How to Enjoy
You can certainly make a bold and tasty Manhattan with this Bourbon but I suspect that most will enjoy this neat with just a splash of water as we have done.
