• Greenbar Garden Flavored Vodka

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is quite expressive with scents of celery and dill jumping from the glass with supporting notes of garden herbs with freshly mown grass and hints of vanilla. The palate echoes the nose delivering a very herbaceous core that is a bit scattershot in its approach finishing with sweet fennel notes that become metallic. Medium-bodied and semisweet with a pungent herb salad. $29.99 – 2.5 Stars

  • The Bitter Truth Pinkgin Spiced Navy Flavored Gin

Very pale salmon color, crystal clear. The nose is very floral and fruity with waves of juniper and citrus and subtle notes of licorice. The palate is quite different than the nose as it delivers a bitter, pithy citrus core with tannic spice accents that fade on a thin finish. Medium-bodied and lacking a pleasing texture found in many Gins while highlighting citrus pith. We are not sure what they were aiming for in this Gin but we can't imagine that they hit the mark. $39.99 – 2.5 Stars

  • Grand Mayan Reposado, 100% Agave Tequila

Brilliant golden color. The nose is filled with the scents of ripe tropical fruits that soon become overwhelmed with barrel notes offering accents of toasted nut, chocolate, and brown baking spices. The palate echoes the nose while offering even less fruit as the heavy-handed oak dominates smothering all of the agave notes. Medium to full-bodied with a dominating note of oak and oak astringency with no balance at all. This is everything that is wrong with far too many modern Tequilas – wood dominated with an astronomical price tag. $79.99 – 2 Stars

  • Uncle Bob's Root Beer Flavored Whisk(e)y

Brilliant, deep amber color. At first nosing it's clear that root beer is in charge filling the nose with scents of a spiked root beer float. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a viscous and sweet, root beer focused core with a faint accent of American Whiskey (or perhaps that's just imagined). Assertively sweet with a moderate alcohol feel. This spirit is far more reminiscent of a Liqueur or Schnapps than a flavored Whiskey. $19.99 – 2.5 Stars

  • BiVi Sicilian Vodka

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is soft and delicate with notes of chalk and mineral in the lead with citrus zest accents. The palate is not at all what the nose had promised delivering a hot and rather angular attack with pithy lemon notes married with white pepper. Subtle on the nose and fiery on the palate. $29.99 – 2 Stars

  • Tarantula Reposado, 100% Agave Tequila

Pale golden color with perfect clarity. The nose delivers rich, ripe fruit with prominent wood notes including vanilla, brown baking spices, caramel, and toasted oak. The palate confirms the nose with a generous fruit driven core with wood accents and a big dose of black pepper. It finishes mildly hot showing-off the high proof spirit. $24.99 – 2.5 Stars

  • Spytail Black Ginger Flavored Rum

Brilliant, deep mahogany color. The nose is filled with the scents of sweet Rum, cola, and brown baking spices, along with a generous dose of candied ginger and hints of tropical fruits. On the palate this flavored Rum becomes decidedly more angular with sharp spice and ginger notes and a strong medicinal flavors that overwhelms. Medium-bodied with compartmentalized and competing flavors. $22.99 – 2.5 Stars

  • Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper Liqueur

Brilliant, deep mahogany/burnt orange color. Once you nose this spirit the new addition is quite evident as sharp pepper notes, courtesy of Tabasco, rises from the glass. On the palate the entry is equal parts sweet peaches and vibrant Tabasco flavors. Soon the pepper takes over and runs strong through the finish and beyond as the Tabasco heat lingers for minutes after the spirit has been swallowed. Medium-bodied and a bit disjointed with intense heat. If you are not in a college bar you will likely never have to encounter this product.$17 – 2 Stars

  • Allaire Privée Rum

Crystal clear. The nose is quite interesting as it delivers sweet sugar notes alternatively with dense earthy tones and subtle tropical notes. The palate somewhat follows the lead the nose provided delivering a sweet and hot core with subtle mineral and earth notes that become dry and slightly woody on the finish. Medium-bodied with hot and dry notes that envelop the subtle fruit notes. $105 – 2 Stars

  • Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Flavored Vodka

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is very lively with waves of ripe grapefruit and tropical fruits supported by accents of lemon and cream soda. The palate equals the nose offering bright fruit core flanked by notes of citrus pith and pepper with a sweet/tart flavor rising on the finish. Medium-bodied and fruity whil being both a bit fat and tart with citrus and spice notes. $40 – 2.5 Stars
