The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black cherry and brown baking spices. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins and silky oak tones.

Full-bodied and nicely balanced with a opulent texture.

The Bogle Essential Red has been a favorite of ours since its first release. This charming red is made with a blend of old vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Peite Sirah sourced from various locations in California. The fermented wine is rested in American oak barrels for a period of 12 months adding subtle and sexy oak accents that ideally marry with the ripe fruit flavors. This beautiful red really punches above its weight delivering great value for money. 91 points.
