Cool Factor
We love a great Rosé and when they are made by Tongue Dancer Wines — one of our favorite winemakers — it's ultra cool. This is the Pinnacle of Pinot Rosé wines.
Value Grade
Selling at $22 a bottle this lovely Rosé won't be found in the bargain bin but this Rosé is delicious and rare with just 250 cases made this year.
Analysis
This wine represents the eighth commercial release of the delicious Tongue Dancer Wines (TDW) Rosé of Pinot Noir (the sixth that we have reviewed). How time flies… In their 2021 vintage TDW has returned to the saigné method — a winemaking technique that bleeds off a portion of juice after a brief contact. We enjoyed last year’s small departure from the saigné method but we are very pleased that they have brought it back in 2021. We love the texture and weight of this wine and its pure hedonistic character. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel having been inoculated with Bandol (Provence, France) yeast like previous vintages. This Rosé is in short supply so get yours fast.
How to Enjoy
This wine really needs nothing but a glass and a comfortable chair but its bold flavors and bright acidity make this a great food wine pairing perfectly with grilled fowl or salmon.
