Shocking! Another great Pinot from Tongue Dancer Wines. This is the fifth Tongue Dancer Sonoma Coast Pinot that we have reviewed and it is a consistent favorite. Each vintage is a little different but we find the 2019 to be similar in style to their great 2016…

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Brilliant, pale gold color. The nose is very attractive with scents of dried fruit, citrus zest, and apricot with hints of sea salt (although not a coastal malt), orange peel, and caramel. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a richer, sweeter malt impression with flavors of toffee, chocolate, and baking spices with a hint of anise on the finish. Medium-bodied and ideally balanced with bright citrus accents taming the sweet caramel malt core. A great value. $35 – 4 Stars

Domaine Laougué Les Passionnes Madiran 2018
Brilliant, dark ruby/purple color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of black cherry and graphite with supporting notes of blackberry, earth, black tea, five spice, and hints of smoke. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of bramble fruit, balsamic, and slate. The finish is long and lingering with firm tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a meaty texture. $19.99 – 4.5 Stars/94 points
