Wine Reviews

Tongue Dancer Ultra Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2019
Brilliant, medium golden color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of white peach, lemon curd, apple, and Asian pear with supporting notes of slate, kiwi, kumquat, and subtle notes of coconut. The palate echoes the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of white peach, green apple, citrus zest, and subtle hints of lychee. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a rich texture while being seductively restrained. The second vintage of Tongue Dancer’s Ultra is a smash hit. $95 – 5 Stars/99 points

The Prisoner Chardonnay Carneros 2019
Brilliant, medium gold/green color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of tropical fruit and vanilla bean with supporting notes of honeysuckle and lychee. The palate confirms the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of roasted pineapple, baked apple, and toasty oak. The finish is long and lingering with buttery overtones. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a creamy texture. Made with a blend of Chardonnay, Roussanne, and Gewürztraminer. $40 – 4 Stars/90 points

Spirits Reviews

Mezcal Campante Artesanal Joven, 100% Agave Mezcal
Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are wonderfully complex and alluring, focused on sweet smoke with supporting notes of baked, caramelized pineapple, fresh herbs, wild flowers, and citrus with hints of eucalyptus and vanilla bean. The palate confirms the nose delivering a decadent baked agave core with prominent waves of smoke, orange peel, and vanilla with accents of black pepper and sandalwood on the finish. Medium to full-bodied with a silky texture with ideal balance thanks to bright citrus and subtle spice notes. Made with Espadin and Barril agave grown in the fertile soils of Oaxaca. $64.99 – 4.5 Stars
