Brilliant, deep amber with a fine creamy head. The nose is complex with generous malt and toffee notes with piney and mildly earthy hops notes. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush and silky malt-driven core with waves of caramel, toffee, brown bread, and dark chocolate with hints of brown baking spices. Full-bodied while being vibrant on the palate with great balance with a slightly dry finish. 4 Stars

Brilliant pale, golden color with a fine bead of bubbles and a soft white head. The aromatics are fresh and crisp with scents of pale malt, semisweet grains, and a soft, subtle hop accent. Light golden color with a semi-hazy appearance. The nose offers a wonderful mélange of pear varieties some being fruity while others more austere mingling with soft earth tones and hints of mineral. The palate echoes the nose delivering an incredibly complex blend of both sweet and tart pears notes with subtle citrus and mineral notes finishing with bright citrus accents. Medium-bodied with a very bright dose of acidity. It drinks with ease being quite refreshing. 5 Stars

The palate echoes the aromatics delivering a dry but generous malty core with accents of nut, earth, and sweet caramel that finish mildly sour. Medium-bodied with ideal balance making this a great session beer. 4 Stars

Great Lakes Christmas Ale (2020)
Deep amber, reddish color with a thick and persistent head. The nose is dense with rich, sweet malt with accents of brown baking spices, ginger biscuits, cardamom, and pine cone. The palate is in full agreement being rich while never cloying. Malt with spicy cinnamon notes rise with a sweet/peppery ginger accent. A harmonious brew with great length and balance. Full-bodied with warming malt notes and just enough hops (30 IBU) to add a crisp edge. 4.5 Stars

Athletic Brewing Oktoberfest
Golden amber color with a slight haze. The nose is vibrant with the scents of malt and fresh bread with hints of caramel and toasted grains. The palate echoes the nose delivering a malty and yeasty core with soft, sweet malt accents and a mild bitter note. Medium-bodied with great balance as this lively NA Festbier delivers much more than the typical NA beer. 4 Stars

Deep golden color, moderately cloudy with fine bead bubbles and a thick, white head. The nose very floral and filled scents of wild honey, fresh herbs, and grain with faint accents of ginger and clove. The is fresh and generous while vibrant with dry notes of whole grain bread, honey taffy, and roasted nuts with accents of citrus zest. Ideally balanced and well proportioned. 4 Stars
