Analysis

The name Maudite recalls the Quebec legend of La Chasse-galerie – or flying canoe – which tells of men who made a deal with the devil to fly their canoes to Montreal. An agreement required that no man could say the name of God. When one of them shouted, “Oh my God,” the canoes fell from the sky, and they were never seen again. Maudite was launched in 1992 and has been part of the brewery’s core collection since. It has rightfully won numerous awards and accolades over the years and has also become a favorite at BevX.

How to Enjoy

Serve chilled in a tulip/flute glass. Pour the beer vigorously into the glass to create a thick head of foam.
