Umani Ronchi Jorio Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2022Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of red cherry, black plum, and anise with supporting notes of forest floor, five spice, and dried herbs. The palate echoes the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red currant, boysenberry, balsamic, and mineral. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Cabo Wabo Reposado, 100% Agave TequilaBright, light golden color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of cooked agave, charred oak, and crème brulee with supporting notes of caramel, tropical fruits, and baking spices. The palate is in substantial agreement with the nose delivering a baked agave-driven core with flavors of topical fruits citrus, and baking spices. The finish is medium-long. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture. $33.76 – 4 Stars
Ancho Reyes Chile Ancho Liqueur
Brilliant, medium black color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of cassis, coffee, and dark chocolate with supporting notes of campfire, black tea, and vanilla. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering an agave-driven core with flavors of acetate, caramel, cocoa, and five spice. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a meaty texture. $39.32 – 4 Stars
Undone No. 4 NOT MEZCAL NA Spirits
Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are pleasingly intense, offering scents of sweet agave, spring flowers, and subtle smoke accents. The palate echoes some of the aromatics, delivering a sweet citrus and cooked agave core with waves of green apple, pear, and lime zest. Medium-bodied and refreshing with more weight than the typical NA. $25 – 4 Stars
Montelobos Joven Ensamble 100% Agave
Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of cooked agave, campfire, and grapefruit zest with supporting notes of wildflower honey, pink sea salt, clay, and hints of sandalwood. The palate confirms the nose delivering an agave-driven core with flavors of green olive tapenade, ground mace with chili, ginger, and citrus zest. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with an opulent texture. $90.82 – 5 Stars
Undone Smoky Paloma — NA (RTD)
Hazy, coral/pink color with subtle carbonation. The aromatics are pleasing leading with scents of sweet red grapefruit, limeade, and sweet tropical fruits. The palate echoes the nose, delivering a sweet citrus and tropical fruit-driven core with accents of limejuice with hints salt. Medium-bodied and refreshing while being sweeter than the typical Paloma with a very faint touch of smoke. $16 – 3.5 Stars
