Château Valade Blanc Entre-Deux-Mers 2016
Brilliant, light pale straw color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of grapefruit, and grass with supporting notes of citrus zest, and fresh herbs. The palate confirms the nose delivering a citrus-driven core with flavors of kiwi, mineral. The finish is dry and crisp. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture. $14 3.5 Stars/88 points

See the Full BevX Featured Review Cloudy, looking akin to freshly squeezed lemon juice. The nose is filled with the scents of freshly cut lemon zest with supporting notes of sugar. The aromatics are much like homemade lemonade. The palate mirrors the nose delivering a vibrant and generous, lemon-focused core with sweet lemon hard candy and a zesty, mildly tart finish. Medium-bodied and vibrant with abundant, fresh citrus flavors. $23.99 – 4 Stars

See the Full BevX Featured Review Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are wonderfully fresh with crushed anise seeds in the lead on a backdrop of a pure grape spirit with subtle hints of caraway. The palate echoes the nose delivering a spicy, anise dominated core with subtle sweet tones leading to a softly viscous finish. Medium-bodied with bright anise notes throughout with just enough sweetness to carry and lift the spice. $24 – 4 Stars

The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a wonderfully fresh and pure grape spirit generously infused with anise. Medium-bodied with vibrant anise flavors that stimulate the appetite offering bright acidity and ideal balance. $34 – 4.5 Stars
