Tongue Dancer Wines Rosé of Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2020

Product Story

The seventh commercial release of the tasty Tongue Dancer Wines (TDW) Rosé of Pinot Noir (the fifth that we have reviewed) is delicious as always. This Rosé is in short supply so get yours fast. While this wine is familiar to us and our readers this vintage significantly different. Previous vintages were made in the saigné method — a winemaking technique that bleeds off a portion of juice after a brief contact. This year’s Sonoma Coast Rosé from TDW is made with directly pressed Pinot Noir grapes all destined for their Rosé. If you are seeking a saigné method Rosé you are in luck as TDW has just introduced a new Rosé — Rosé de Ville sold only in magnums (see our review). We are sure you will love both versions.

In short order Tongue Dancer Wines has become one of our most anticipated arrivals. We can't wait to see what they do next. Tasting Note

Brilliant, medium coral color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of raspberry and boysenberry with supporting notes of plum, orange peel, and passion fruit. The palate echoes the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red cherry, slate, and strawberry. The finish is long and lingering. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with an opulent texture. 4 Stars/93 points

How to Serve

This wine really needs nothing but a glass and a comfortable chair but it does pair brilliantly with grilled chicken or salmon.
