Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest (Germany)
Hacker-Pschorr has been brewing in Bavaria since 1417. During the first years of the Oktoberfest, the Bavarian brewing law from 1539 stipulated that beer could only be brewed between the “Michaeli” or St. Michael’s day on September 29 and St. George’s feast day, April 23. Santa Lucia Ciliegiolo IGT Toscano 2015
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of red cherry and black currant with supporting notes of black pepper, thyme, and rose petals. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of ripe red berries, raspberry, and vanilla. The finish is long and lingering with silky tannins. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a velvety texture. $18 4 Stars/92 points

Hazelburn 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Deep, brilliant copper color. The nose is deeply fruity with a big, lush dose of Sherry with toffee and refined caramel notes. The palate is quite sprite as it opens with a zesty, spirity note backed by rich ripe fruit, Christmas cake, and sweet Sherry with accents of candied ginger. Full-bodied with great length and power. $110 – 3.5 Stars
