2 Gingers Blended Irish Whiskey
Brilliant, copper color. Vibrant while delicate with sweet grain and malty scents in the lead supported by honey, soft caramel, vanilla, and nutmeg with hints of orange zest. The palate confirms the nose delivering soft and silky malt driven flavors with a sweet fruity edge and a very spicy finish featuring black pepper and ginger (am I being persuaded by the title?). Medium-bodied with with lush but vibrant flavors with far too much going on to be labeled “light.” $21.99 – 3 Stars

Silvio Grasso Barbera d’Alba DOCG 2018
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of red currant and black cherry with supporting notes of black tea, graphite, slate, and pomegranate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black plum, cassis, and five spice. The finish is long and lingering with silky, supple tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a opulent texture. $19.99 4 Stars/92 points
