Tongue Dancer Wines Foxtrot Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2024
The fifth vintage of Tongue Dancer Wines’ (TDW) Foxtrot is the fourth on the trot from the Russian River Valley. However, the vineyard source, Castro Vineyard, is new to Foxtrot. The vineyard is located in the Santa Rosa Plains sector of the Russian River Valley. The area is known for cooler temperatures, clay soils, and coastal influences.

Brilliant, medium gold/green color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of persimmon, meringue, and jasmine with supporting notes of citrus zest, mineral, pineapple, and spring flowers. The palate confirms the nose, delivering a ripe orchard fruit-driven core with flavors of sudachi, white peach, lemongrass, quince, and mineral. The finish is long and lingering. Medium- to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, with a supple texture. A great fruit source and a no-oak winemaking approach make this a singular wine worthy of your attention. $59 – 4.5 Stars/96 points
