Beverage of the Week
Ayinger Jahrhundert-Bier (Germany)
The great Beers from Ayinger have been available in the US for more than two decades. Our BOW, the great Jahrhundert-Bier was first created in 1978 to celebrate the brewery’s 100th anniversary. We love everything about this classic German lager.

Gran Duque D’Alba XO Brandy de Jerez
Brilliant, beautiful mahogany color with hints of amber. The aromatics are quite complex with waves of roasted nuts, vanilla bean, nougat, raisins, and dates. The palate echoes the nose delivering a generous, unctuous caramel and toffee, with dried fruits, clove, allspice, and oak. Full-bodied with complex layers of fruit, caramel, spice, presented with a silky texture. $115 – 4 Stars
Gran Duque D’Alba Oro Brandy de Jerez
Brilliant, beautiful mahogany color with hints of amber. The nose is quite elegant and complex, offering scents of toffee, aged leather, dried fruits, and vanilla beans. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a generous cream caramel core with roasted nuts, nutmeg, brown butter, and Sherry with subtle hints of dark chocolate. Full-bodied presenting a very sophisticated, semi-dry style that shows off this great old Brandy. $155 – 4.5 Stars
Wine Reviews
Markham Merlot Napa Valley 2018
Brilliant, deep crimson color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of black cherry, hibiscus flower, and raspberry with supporting notes of wild blueberry and baking spices. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black plum, cocoa nibs, violet, and red currant jam. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Full-bodied and nicely balanced with an opulent texture. Made with a blend of 87% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Syrah, and 2% Syrah. Merlot is the star but the supporting grapes add so many layers and deep intrigue. $17.99 – 4 Stars/92 points
