Beverage of the Week
Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas Blanc Adelaida District 2017
The Esprit de Tablas is Tablas Creek’s top-tiered white Rhône blend. This Roussanne forward wine is delicious on release but will age for years in your cellar. Tablas Creek is a unique animal on the California wine scene. They are unquestioned pioneers in the movement of Rhône-styled wines in California and many consider them to be the absolute best-in-class.

Produttori Barbaresco Nebbiolo Langhe Rosso 2018
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The nose is moderately intense offering scents of red cherry and baking spices with supporting notes of raspberry, black tea, and wet stones. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red currant and violet. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a supple yet vibrant texture. $22 4 Stars/90 points

Buchanan’s Red Seal Blended Scotch Whisky
Brilliant, deep amber. The nose is fresh and vibrant with scents of lightly toasted grains in the lead supported by ripe, sweet apples, pears, and orange with hints of orange peel, cashew butter, and candied ginger. The palate echoes the nose delivering a fruity but dry core with accents of brown baking spice, pepper, citrus zest, and brown butter. Medium-bodied showing ideal balance with a vibrant, crisp finish. While perfectly pleasant we find that the price out-kicks the liquid in the bottle. $160 – 3 Stars
