Quinta de Fonte Souto White Alentejano 2023
Brilliant, medium gold/green color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of white peach, meringue, and apricot stone with supporting notes of citrus zest, star fruit, tropical fruit, and bees wax. The palate confirms the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of lemon curd, green tea, honey, Meyer lemon, and brioche. The finish is long and lingering. Quinta de Fonte Souto Red Alentejano 2020
Brilliant, dark ruby/purple color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of black plum, cassis, and mineral with supporting notes of black tea, baking spices, dried herbs, and forest floor. The palate echoes the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, five spice, and slate. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Opaque, medium amber/mahogany color. The aromatics are wonderfully intense, offering scents of dried flowers and herbs with accents of orange peel, vanilla, and cinnamon. The palate echoes the nose, delivering a spice-driven core with supporting flavors of brown sugar, candied ginger, dried herbs, orange peel, and cardamom. The finish is long and lingering.
