Beverage of the Week
Belhaven Scottish Ale (Scotland)
This classic is brewed from 100% Scottish Optic pale malt with a touch of Crystal barley malts. Challenger and Goldings hops are employed with a clever touch reaching a modest 21 IBU. Established in 1719, Belhaven brews their beer in the rolling barley fields just 20 miles east of Edinburgh. Local barley and local water have ensured that Belhaven’s Ales are just as good toady as they were 300 years ago…

Uggiano Governo All’Uso IGT Toscano 2022
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of black cherry, violet, and dried fruits with supporting notes of five spice, dark chocolate, and cured meat. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of boysenberry, red currant, leather, and mineral. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a supple texture. Made with a blend of 90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo. $24.99 – 4 Stars/90 points

Medium-bodied and ideally balanced with a silky texture that maintains its freshness, never becoming cloying. $12.99, 4-pack cans, 12 oz. – 4 Stars
Better than booze Mint Mojito (USA)
Brilliant, faint green color with subtle, fine bubbles. The nose offers a bold, minty, aromatic scent that veers a bit too close to toothpaste with a candy accent as well. The palate agrees with the nose, delivering a sweet mint-driven core with mildly astringent herbal notes, with mint candy rising on the finish. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced. $12.99, 4-pack cans, 12 oz. – 3 Stars
