Beverage of the Week

Tongue Dancer Wines Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2022Tongue Dancer Wines Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2022
This is the 11th vintage of Tongue Dancer Wines’ Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and as always it’s an impressive glass of Pinot Noir. We absolutely love this wine and could easily see the scores rise with a bit of cellaring. This vintage reminds us of their great 2019 — very Burgundian. We have reviewed every vintage since 2015 and while each wine is unique and always an expression of the vintage…

Wine Reviews
Ostatu Rosado Rioja 2023
Brilliant, medium salmon color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of raspberry and cranberry with supporting notes of spring flowers, orange peel, and slate. The palate echoes the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red plum, strawberry, sour red cherry, and citrus zest. The finish is long and ultimately crisp. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a vibrant texture. Made with a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 27% Garnacha, and 3% Viura. $21 – 4 Stars/93 points

Spirits Reviews
Gran Duque D’Alba Solera Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez
Brilliant, beautiful mahogany color with hints of amber. The aromatics are bold and complex offering scents of caramel, aged leather, cigar box, dried fruits, charred marshmallow, and vanilla beans. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a lush caramel/toffee core with Sherry, nutmeg, brown butter, and oak with accents of honeycomb. Full-bodied and ideally balanced with decadent fruit, confection, and spice flavors. $49.99 – 4.5 Stars

NA Cocktails Reviews
Greenbar Lavender Bitters + Soda (USA)
Medium, burnt orange color with subtle, fine bubbles. Floral with lavender in the lead supported by jasmine and hibiscus with hints of allspice and sweet bark. The palate echoes the nose delivering a vibrant tea and spice-driven core with citrus accents that keep it refreshing. Not at all sweet with just enough sugar to give it a light mouthfeel. $14.99, 4-pack cans, 12 oz. – 4.5 Stars

Greenbar Un Rum + Cola (USA)
Light, golden/amber color with subtle, fine bubbles. The nose is filled with the scents of brown baking spices with supporting notes of citrus, vanilla, and molasses. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a spice-driven core with flavors of brown sugar and complex spice notes that surpass most colas we have tasted. Super refreshing and very satisfying. Don’t be shaken by the light color — this delivers bold flavors. $14.99, 4-pack cans, 12 oz. – 4.5 Stars
