Wine Reviews

Barone Montalto Pinot Grigio IGP Terre Siciliane 2020
Brilliant, light straw color. The nose is moderately intense, offering scents of green apple and fresh herbs with supporting notes of grapefruit and orange peel. The palate echoes the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of guava, green melon, white peach, and wet slate. The finish is crisp with bright citrus accents. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a vibrant texture. $11.99 – 4 Stars/90 points

Riva Leone Barbaresco DOCG 2017
Brilliant, medium garnet color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of red cherry, clay, and dried herbs with supporting notes of earth, baking spices, mineral, and rose petals with hints of clove. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red berries, five spice, anise, cranberry, and rosemary. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a vibrant but rich texture. Drink now — decant and enjoy. $24.99 – 4 Stars/92 points

Spirits Reviews

LS Cream Liqueur
Opaque, viscous, sand dollar cream color. The aromatics are wonderfully seductive with scents of cinnamon and nutmeg being redolent of a freshly baked snickerdoodle cookies with hints of rich cream and toasted coconut. The palate echoes the nose delivering a silky creamy core with subtle spice accents that build on the nose with a touch of cinnamon heat married with vanilla bean. Medium-bodied with a lush, velvety center with intriguing spice notes and an ideal balance. $27 – 4.5 Stars
