Beverage of the Week

Tongue Dancer Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2020Tongue Dancer Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2020
The 2020 vintage marks the sixth edition of their lovely Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay. We have reviewed all of six of them witnessing an amazing record of success. The scores have ranged from 94 to 98 so you could say that it has lacked diversity… Each of these six has been a product of the vintage but the core characteristics have always been present…

Wine Reviews

Photograph Chardonnay Central Coast 2020
Brilliant, medium straw color. The nose is moderately intense, offering scents of apricot stone and meringue with supporting notes of lychee, orange peel, and oak. The palate echoes the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of white peach, bees wax, and citrus zest. The finish is long and lingering with oak accents. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with a vibrant texture. $12.99 – 3.5 Stars/88 points

Photograph Pinot Noir Central Coast 2020
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of raspberry and red cherry with supporting notes of forest floor, pomegranate, and slate. The palate echoes the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red currant, dried herbs, sour cherry, earth, and five spice. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a supple texture. $12.99 – 4 Stars/90 points

Spirits Reviews

Rampur Asava Indian Single Malt Whisky
Brilliant, deep golden/copper color. The nose is filled with the scents of roasted tropical fruits with supporting notes of peach stones and black plum with accents of cigar box and butterscotch. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a lush, honey-soaked fruit core with accents of brown baking spices and tawny port. Full-bodied with loads of sweet fruit, red wine, and decadent spices. Aged in Bourbon casks and then finished in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. $89.99 – 4 Stars

Ocean Vodka
Brilliant crystal clear. The nose is fresh and vibrant with scents of mineral, green tall grasses (remember that sugar cane is a grass), and wet river stones. The palate echoes the nose delivering a silky, slightly viscous center with lovely supporting notes of pepper and citrus zest that keep it dry and refreshing. Medium-bodied with subtle flavors and enough bright spice notes that add interest and length. Made in Hawaii with organic sugar cane. $29.99 – 4 Stars

NA Beverage Reviews

Greenbar UnSpritz Hibiscus (USA)
Brilliant, bright ruby color with fine bubbles. Vibrant aromatics of fresh hibiscus blossoms with hints of tamarind, Earl Grey tea, and baking spices. The palate echoes the nose delivering a refreshing fruit and spice-driven core redolent of Aperol. Medium-bodied and thirst-quenching — ideal balance of sweet and tart. $14.99 – 4 Stars
