2Hawk Darow Series Viognier Rogue Valley 2017
Brilliant, medium gold color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of wild flowers and tropical fruit with supporting notes of honeysuckle, jasmine, and lemon curd. The palate echoes the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of passion fruit, coconut, vanilla, and meringue. The finish is long and lingering with toasted oak rising on the finish. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a opulent and mildly chewy texture. $46 4 Stars/90 points

Brilliant, medium gold/green color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of tropical fruit and peach with supporting notes of lemon curd, bees wax, jasmine, and slate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of pineapple, apricot stone, orange peel, and candied ginger. The finish is long and lingering with subtle, tart fruit accents. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a creamy while vibrant texture thanks to a generous dose of bright acidity. $26 4.5 Stars/95 points

Brilliant, pale straw color. The aromatics are bright and floral with sweet and tart lime with accents of thyme, lemongrass, jasmine, and subtle notes of capers. The palate echoes the nose while bursting with sweet white wine, lemon curd, and red grapefruit flavors supported by wild herbs and candied lime. Medium-bodied with great balance with vibrant, generous vinous fruit and citrus. Brilliant, green/straw color. The nose is wonderfully complex offering scents of freshly mown grass, spring flowers, and citrus blossoms with accents of sea salt, thyme, and green olives. The palate fully confirms the nose delivering a tart fruit core with sweet herbs, citrus, and a floral essence. Medium-bodied with ideal balance as the vibrant fruit is wrapped in an herbal salinity that linger on the palate. Michter’s US*1 Toasted Barrel Finish Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Brilliant, deep amber color. The nose is beautifully complex with rich, sweet toasted oak equalled by decadent Rye Whiskey with generous supporting notes of toffee, caramel, fruitcake, brown baking spices, and vanilla with hints of sandalwood. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush, caramel-soaked rye core framed by toasted oak with generous accents of clove, allspice, vanilla, black pepper, nutmeg, and ginger. Full-bodied and absolutely intense while being ideally balanced with bright acidity with each component in perfect measure. A limited release, get it while you can. $85 – 5 Stars
