Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is filled with scents of dark roasted coffee with supporting notes of fresh cream, brown sugar, and cocoa nibs, with a hint of vanilla. The palate echoes the nose while offering more lush and intense flavors than the nose suggested. It's just sweet enough to carry the flavors from the fore-palate to the finish with trailing notes of crushed coffee bean. It's medium-bodied with bright and genuine flavors that offer as many subtle notes as assertive flavors. $27.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is quite fruity with scents of red cherry, tangerine, and sweet toffee with supporting notes of vanilla, maple, pumpkin pie spice, cigar box, and charred oak. The palate is in full agreement with the nose offering a lush and chewy platform for the spicy rye notes to emerge with loads of sweet maple and caramel enveloping the entirety. More dense and assertive than the "standard" Pendelton bottling while still offering an easy to drink and easy to love essence. $39.95 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are wonderfully complex with scents of bitter bark, teaberry, cranberry, rhubarb, grapefruit zest, quinine, and blood orange. The palate echoes the nose delivering bitter herb and spice flavors that are more tart than sweet with generous citrus notes. Perfectly balanced with the classic contrast of bitter with a mild sweet, fruit core. $29 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is incredibly floral with loads of spice, bark, on a backdrop of red grapefruit and melon pear with hints of quinine and nutmeg. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a vibrant, tart tropical fruit core with accents of wild flowers and citrus. Beautifully intense and complex with a crisp dry edge. $21.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is assertively spicy with toasted grain and black pepper in the lead. After a small water addition this Whiskey really shows its stuff offering black fruits, rye bread, black pepper, toffee, and vanilla. The palate is full accord with the nose delivering a beautiful mix of fruit and grain with hints of black cherry with loads of spicy rye and sweet caramel. This is a very intense rye that requires a water addition in my view to best expand the flavors and tame the heat. $47 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The aromatics are wonderfully rich with scents of ripe blackcurrants, red plum, and dried blueberry. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering lush and silky ripe fruit flavors with loads of blackberry jam foiled by subtle citrus, and tart cherry notes. This is an incredibly intense Liqueur with impossibly rich fruit notes balanced by soft citrus notes and a dose of bright acidity on the finish. $29.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. The first thing you notice is an unexpected fruit and citrus-like aromatic that defies the appearance. Scents of roasted nuts, nutmeg, and vanilla are also found. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a rich, fruity and nutty core with flavors of cashew butter, star fruit, and toffee cream. This is a rich and mouth filling liqueur with a surprising vibrancy that keeps it from becoming heavy or cloying. $19.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, dark mahogany being nearly opaque. The nose offers the aromas of freshly roasted beans rather than brewed coffee with accents of cocoa bean, anise, nutmeg, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is reflective of the nose delivering a complex mélange of coffee bean notes that opens sweet and becomes increasingly dry offering crushed bean notes on the finish. This coffee based liqueur is bold and assertive but it's also quite vibrant and fresh inviting sip after sip. $25.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant, crystal clear. As you would imagine the nose is quite floral with scents of wild spring flowers in the lead supported by ripe green melon, white grapes, mango, kiwi, and star fruit with a dose of tangerine zest. The palate is in full accord with the nose offering up waves of white peach with loads of floral and tropical fruit notes flanked by a crisp dose of acidity and subtle citrus zest note. Rich but very vibrant with fresh acidity framing the bright, fruit-driven core. Ideally balanced with a bright, almost airy finish. $19.99 – 4.5 Stars

Brilliant amber to mahogany in color. The nose is like nirvana to those of us who appreciate the complex and beautiful aromas of aged Rum. Scents of roasted tropical fruits, roasted almonds, treacle, brown butter, allspice, clove, cocoa, and vanilla fill the nose. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush and silky core with generous spice notes to add intrigue and shape. A wonderful and complex Rum from Brugal. $49.99 – 4.5 Stars
