Brilliant, medium pink color with a medium bead of bubbles.

Aromatics

The nose is moderately intense offering scents of peach and red berries with supporting notes of ripe pear, spring flowers, and red grapefruit.

Flavor

The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of red cherry and raspberry with hints of mineral. The finish is long and lingering with crisp acidity.

Intensity & Texture

Selling at just above $10 in most markets this lovely Rosé Prosecco is a terrific value.

Analysis

Made with a blend of 95% Glera (the essential Prosecco grape) and 5% Pinot Nero. The small portion of Pinot Nero is enough to add a beautiful pink color as well as ripe red berry notes on the nose and on the palate. The Piccolo Tesoro Rosé is bottled as an "Extra Dry." In Prosecco terms this sits between Brut and Dry and is described as, "dry with a hint of sweetness." We find this refreshing Prosecco to be closer to Brut than Dry being drier than we expected.
