Analysis

Tongue Dancer Wines (TDW) has released its fourth vintage of its amazing Rosé de Ville — the youthful sidekick to their Pinot de Ville. This charming Rosé of Pinot Noir is made with the saignée method — a winemaking technique of “bleeding off” a portion of juice after a brief period of skin contact (just eight hours in this case) to create a rosé while intensifying the wine's red color. The fruit for the 2025 Rosé de Ville comes from a new vineyard source, Fox Den. This wine gives us a preview of the TDW/Fox Den Pinot that will be available in a year or two. The TDW Rosé of Pinot Noir is always made in a dry style reminiscent of Rosé produced in southern France. The use of a proprietary yeast from the Rhône Valley further strengthens that stylistic connection. This rosé is a charmer with more depth and complexity than your average rosé.
