In the Glass
Appearance
Brilliant amber color.
Aromatics
The aromatics are beautiful and intense with baked orchard fruits (apple, pear, and peach) leading the way supported by caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, subtle earth notes, and spicy oak.
Flavor
The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a fruit-driven core with waves of caramel and toffee, accented with brown baking spices, dark chocolate, a hint of ginger, and orange peel.
Intensity & Texture
Medium to full-bodied with a lush core while exhibiting a great vibrancy thanks to a generous dose of acidity and bright spice notes.

Cool Factor
I've long been a fan of Gautier Cognac as their complex yet subtle fruit and spice notes make for a great aperitif while working equally well as an after dinner drink.

Value Grade
If the great and complex flavors of Gautier Cognac don't win you over then consider that they always give value for money in the category. Their VSOP delivers a positive price to pleasure ratio.

Analysis
Gautier is a great old Cognac house with a history spanning 10 generations. Gautier's cellars are located in a former mill along the River Osme. This location benefits from a natural humidity that aids in the maturation of these great Cognacs in the casks. The delicious Gautier VSOP is made with a careful blend of Cognacs from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fin Bois, and Bon Bois then aged six years in Limousin oak barrels. It is so wonderfully complex and delicate while generous.

How to Enjoy
Sip neat after dinner or enjoy in your best Cognac cocktails.
