Analysis

American Single Malt has come a long way in a short time and Whiskey Del Bac has emerged as one of the leaders in this growing category. All of their Whiskies experience a unique aging process thanks to the climate conditions found in Tucson, AZ. They experience a wide range of temperature swings from days to nights, resulting in the Whiskey traveling deeper and then more shallow in the wood giving a high extraction. While the pores of their casks widen and shrink there is a respectable play of oxygen, an essential element in the natural aging of any wine or spirit in cask, that gives their Whiskies an early mature character. The barley utilized in their Dorado is smoked over a mesquite wood fire. The Scots have peat — the American Southwest has mesquite. The mesquite does not overpower in any way in fact it’s quite subtle adding another wrinkle to this complex Whiskey. We are in love with this spirit and we are confident that you will love it too.

How to Enjoy

This Whiskey needs nothing but a glass. Sip neat with a splash of water to better allow the complex aromatics and flavors to bloom.
