The palate confirms the nose delivering a citrus-driven core with flavors of guava, bees wax, and sea salt. The finish is crisp with tart green fruits.

Analysis

Contacto Alvarinho is wonderfully refreshing and much more, offering depth and style at a very friendly price. The wine is made with 100% Alvarinho, also known as Albariño when grown in neighboring Spain. Albariño has become widely known to wine lovers around the globe for creating with tremendous orchard fruit and floral notes. The grapes are grown in the Vinho Verde sub-region of Monção and Melgaço known for its world-class Alvarinho wines. The grapes were hand-picked and quickly transported to the winery. The grapes were destined and given a brief maceration on their skins followed by a slow fermentation and a three-month rest in tank on its lees to build body and complexity.

Serve chilled with nothing but a glass for an ideal aperitif or pair it with grilled squid and octopus or tuna tartare.
