    Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout

  • Deep, darkest brown and opaque with a thick, creamy black head. The nose is filled with the scents of toasted raisin bread, cocoa nibs, roasted malt, and dry, dark chocolate cream with hints of earth and dark caramel. The palate echoes the nose delivering a rich, malt and chocolate-driven core with accents of dried fruit and hints of brown bread and oat cakes. Medium to full-bodied with an opulent yet vibrant texture that expands on the palate and lingers for minutes. 5 Stars

  • Amber/copper with a thick, creamy white head. The nose is filled with scents of toasted malt, earth, and dried herbs. The palate echoes the nose with generous notes of roasted malt and dried fruit being assertively dry and bitter showcasing classic English hops. Moderately full bodied with balancing bitterness. 4 Stars

  • Deep amber to black color. Intense malt aromatics with a hints of earth, brown spices, toasted nuts, and ginger biscuits. The palate is in full agreement with rich, warming malt flavors touched by caramel and nutmeg. 3 Stars

  • Bright tawny color with a perfect clarity and a modest white head. The nose is wonderfully fruity and rich with a great sense of balance due to English hops and a modest - dare we say session worthy - strength. Interwoven is a fresh layer of toasted grains with accents of caramel and fruitcake. A treat. 4 Stars

    Deep amber color. The aroma is very complex offering scents of toasted malt, sweet caramel, dried fruits (like a great fruit cake), and a balancing earthy bitterness. The palate echoes the nose delivering a rich caramel and grain-driven core with a generous dose of baking spices and dry grains with earthy hops. Full-bodied with a lush texture ideally balancing power with delicacy. 4.5 Stars

  • Tawny with amber highlights. Full body. Wonderfully rich aromas show a bananas and sweet caramel malt that follows through on the palate with rich malt sweetness and a warming bitter hop kick on the finish. A vinous, succulent style. 4 Stars

Smooth, rounded and very drinkable. Fruity hop flavors show through, especially on the finish. Complex yet wonderfully balanced. 5 Stars

  • Deep golden red appearance. The aroma is filled with the scents of toasted caramel malt aromas with a bit of treacle. Full rounded mouthfeel shows fluffy, silky qualities with plenty of dried floral hop flavors in support. Great caramel malt and toffee flavors. Moderately full bodied with balancing bitterness. 5 Stars
