Product Story

Shucked Bourbon is an absolutely beautiful and charming Whiskey. It has been matured to perfection, showing great complex caramel, toffee, fruit, and spice notes that were never dominated by the oak cask. We all love Bourbon and have seen countless examples of where the cask dominates and tramples on the spirit. Shucked shows off its gorgeous corn and rye notes and left us wanting the next sip. You have to be careful with this Bourbon! It was made in Indiana with this distillery’s classic 21% rye, 75% corn, and 4% malted barley Bourbon mash-bill. We hope that the folks behind Shucked give us an encore.

Brand Story

Shucked Bourbon is inspired by the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Shucked. Shucked played its final Broadway performance in January 2024, but it is hitting the road in the fall of 2024 and through 2025. The over 30-city tour kicks off in Providence, RI, in late October 2024. The Shucked Bourbon is slated to accompany the show in many of its USA engagements. We are hopeful that the team behind the Bourbon will offer us an encore in the form of any great Whiskey.

Tasting Note

Brilliant, medium tawny/amber color. The aromatics are very intense, presenting scents of caramel, baking spices, and candied ginger with supporting notes of vanilla, treacle, and dried fruits. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a toffee-driven core with flavors akin to gingerbread, honey, orange peel, and banana bread. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and flawlessly balanced with an opulent texture. Spice-driven with 21% Rye in the mash bill. $60 –

While this harmonious Bourbon will work well in your favorite Whiskey cocktails we recommend sipping the Shucked Bourbon neat with perhaps a splash of water.
