Spirits Reviews

Laird’s Old Fashioned (RTD)
Brilliant, bronze to amber color. The nose is filled with the scents of fresh orange peel supported by baked apples with accents of bitters, and more orange notes with hints of sweet cherry. The palate echoes the nose being vibrant and decadent delivering a fruit-driven core with waves of brown spice, Brandy, and orange essence. A bold and authentic cocktail with complex flavors and great length. Pour over ice and strain and serve on fresh ice with an orange slice or peel. This lovely RTD proves that Laird’s Applejack is the ideal spirit for the classic Old Fashioned. $14.99 – 4.5 Stars

Wine Reviews

Sangiacomo Chardonnay Sonoma Coast 2021
Brilliant, medium golden color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of white peach and pear with supporting notes of honeysuckle, slate, lychee, and green tea. The palate confirms the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of baked apple, lemon curd, and kumquat. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a rich texture. Made in the heart of Sonoma County with a serious nod to Burgundy. $58 – 4.5 Stars/96 points

Sangiacomo Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2021
Brilliant, medium ruby color. The nose is moderately intense, offering scents of black cherry and forest floor with supporting notes of five spice, graphite, rose petals, and black tea. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of red cherry, raspberry, baking spices, and lovely tart cherry accents. The finish is long and lingering with silky tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with an opulent texture. $65 – 4 Stars/93 points
