Griffo Scott Street Gin
Griffo’s Scott Street Gin is named for the street where Griffo Distillery can be found in Petaluma, CA (in the heart of Sonoma County). Griffo’s Gin, like their Vodka, is created with a corn-based mash bill. They prefer corn for their Gin as it gives the spirit a soft and round texture…

Avignonesi Cantaloro IGT Toscano 2019
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of red cherry, currants, and forest floor with supporting notes of cocoa, oak, and violet. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of blueberry, red plum, and mineral and hints of wild mint. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a meaty texture. Made with a blend of 51% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 23% Merlot, with small amounts of Syrah, and Canaiolo. $14.99 – 4 Stars/92 points
Spirits Reviews
Griffo Stony Point American Whiskey
Brilliant, deep bronze color. The aromatics are incredibly inviting, offering scents of vanilla cream, roasted nuts, and burnt orange peel with accents of roasted marshmallow and toasted grains. The palate is much drier and spicier than the nose delivering an oak-driven core with waves of black pepper that eventually give way to a nutty and caramel-laced finish. Full-bodied and spicy showing off it’s rye inclusion in the mash bill enveloped by a complex oak signature. $45 – 3.5 Stars
Griffo Stout Barreled American Whiskey
Brilliant, deep bronze to amber color. The nose is complex and understated offering scents of toasted grains, dried fruits, dark chocolate, and caramel. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a chocolate malt-driven core with waves of coffee, caramel, toffee, and cashew butter. Full-bodied and ideally balanced with long and lingering flavors of chocolate, espresso, and caramel accented nuts. $48 – 4.5 Stars
Griffo Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur
Brilliant, yet nearly opaque, deep mahogany color. The nose is filled with the scents of roasted coffee beans and cocoa nibs with supporting notes of roasted nuts, cinnamon bark, and hints of brown sugar. The palate echoes the nose delivering a cold coffee-centric core with waves of chocolate. mocha, and dry brown baking spices. Medium-bodied with ideal balance being drier than most would expect of a Liqueur while being a bartender’s dream as they can regulate the sugars. Smartly low in alcohol and sugar. $32 – 4.5 Stars
