Tongue Dancer Pinot de Ville Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast 2022
The 2022 vintage marks the ninth edition of The Tongue Dancer “Pinot de Ville” (PDV). For the first time, the label does not feature a classic Cadillac DeVille but rather a guitar inspired by classic car design. The fruit was harvested in equal portions from the Lofty section of Putnam Vineyard and Notre Vue Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of wild berries, raspberry, and dried herbs with supporting notes of leather, dried fruits, and black tea. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black plum, earth, garrigue, and slate. The finish is long and lingering with ripe tannins. Whiskey Del Bac Sentinel of the Desert Straight Rye Whiskey
Brilliant, medium copper/bronze color. The nose is intense, offering scents of honey, campfire, citrus peel, and black tea with supporting notes of smoke, ginger, and nutmeg. The palate is in full agreement with the nose, delivering a candied ginger-driven core with flavors of caramel, cinnamon, toffee, and oak. The finish is long and luxurious, with hints of black pepper. Full-bodied and nicely balanced with an opulent texture. $40 – 4.5 Stars
Sagamore Small Batch Straight Rye Whiskey
Brilliant, deep amber color. The aromatics are very intense, offering scents of baking spices, baked apple, and ginger biscuits with supporting notes of dried fruits, charred oak, and sultanas. The palate is in full agreement with the nose, delivering a candied ginger-driven core with flavors of cereal, honey, and walnut. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and nicely balanced with a chewy texture. $39 – 4 Stars
Sagamore Double Oak Straight Rye Whiskey
Brilliant, deep chestnut color. The aromatics are very intense, offering scents of charred oak, roasted nuts, and caramel with supporting notes of candied ginger, leather, toasted coconut, and toffee. The palate confirms the nose delivering a caramel-driven core with supporting flavors of maple syrup, apricot stone, black tea, and oak. The finish is long and lingering. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a voluptuous texture. $64 – 4.5 Stars
