Beverage of the Week
Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc Paso Robles 2020
This complex and delicious white is a careful blend of five varietals: 40% Grenache Blanc, 19% Roussanne, 21% Viognier, 15% Marsanne, and 5% Clairette Blanche. This wine is always driven by the vintage and how each varietal reacts to the vintage. Grenache Blanc is the primary driver here as it has consistently been the dominate varietal in the six vintages…

Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas Paso Robles 2019
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of black plum and boysenberry with supporting notes of black tea, forest floor, violet, and five spice. The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black cherry, graphite, balsamic, cocoa, and mineral. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a dense, meaty texture. $60 – 5 Stars/97 points

Ballotin Carmel Turtle Chocolate Flavored Whiskey
Brilliant, golden amber color. The nose reveals a dessert in a glass with waves of sweet caramel with pecan brittle and decadent dark chocolate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a rich, caramel-focused core with supporting notes of toasted nuts, chocolate, butter cream, and hints of Whiskey. Medium to full-bodied with a viscous palate feel that elongates the candy shop flavors. $25 – 4 Stars
