Connemara Peated 12 Years Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Deep golden to amber color. The nose is wonderfully complex being less assertively peaty and smoky than the original Connemara. It is very floral and minty, with buttery toffee and accents of peat, sea salt, and pepper. The palate is lush while spicy with complex notes of honey and fruit compote with accents of oak and marzipan. This Whiskey offers great balance and intrigue. $94.99 – 4 Stars
Greenore 18 Years Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey
Brilliant golden color. The nose is simply beautiful with scents of butterscotch, caramel, nougat, and vanilla with accents of orange peel, honey and sweet toasted grains. The palate is in full agreement adding a healthy dose of spice the mid-palate that is soon swept away by more lush grain and toffee notes with subtle hints of campfire, black pepper, and cardamon. A lovely dram and by far the best Greenore offering to date. $135 – 4 Stars
Jameson Special Reserve 12 Years Old Blended Irish Whiskey
Brilliant amber color. The nose is incredibly lush and complex offering waves of ripe oranges and tropical fruits with accents of caramel, toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, and Sherry. The palate echoes the nose being lush and full while clean and lively with baked orchard fruits and honey taking the lead. Long trailing secondary notes of bacon fat, toasted walnuts, and butterscotch linger on the finish. A real beauty. $42.99 – 4 Stars

Tullamore Dew 12 Years Old Blended Irish Whiskey
Brilliant amber color. The 12-year-old Tully offers a bit of a departure from the classic being rich with sherry notes as they offer a bit of honey, nougat, fig, brown spice, and vanilla to the sweet grain and malt core. The palate is remarkably sprite for all of its inherent unctuousness and complex flavors. Silky while spicy and balanced by a strong accent of citrus zest on the finish.
