Kuiper Belt, by E-40, has done it again with another stunning Kentucky Bourbon. Their debut Bourbon Whiskey aged eight years was an instant hit leaving Whiskey fans to wonder what the follow-up would be or if there was even going to be another Bourbon release from Kuiper Belt. Well it's here and this six year-old Bourbon hits the target. It's made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. The generous portion of rye really shines through with wonderful spice notes on the canvas of sweet corn Bourbon. Get it while it lasts.

Brand Story

NASA describes the Kuiper Belt as a donut-shaped region of icy bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune. It’s believed that there may be millions of the icy objects that collectively make up the Kuiper Belt. Kuiper Belt by E-40 is an interesting brand created by multi-platinum recording artist Earl “E-40” Stevens. The brand has released a highly-acclaimed Gin, as well as this beautiful Bourbon.

Tasting Note

Brilliant, deep amber color. The nose is filled with rich, caramel soaked grain with supporting notes of dried orchard fruits, allspice, clove, nutmeg, honey, and sweet oak. The palate is in full agreement with the nose as it delivers a rich and spicy, baked orchard fruit core with waves of black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and charred oak. Full-bodied with bold fruit, caramel, and oak flavors all in balance and checked with a bright dose of acidity. $85 – 4.5 Stars/94 points/Exceptional! +

How to Serve

You can certainly make a bold and tasty Manhattan with this Bourbon but I suspect that most will enjoy this neat with just a splash of water as we have done.
