Griffo Scott Street Gin

Product Story

Griffo’s Scott Street Gin is named for the street where Griffo Distillery can be found in Petaluma, CA (in the heart of Sonoma County). Griffo’s Gin, like their Vodka, is created with a corn-based mash bill. They prefer corn for their Gin as it gives the spirit a soft and round texture. This is an ideal canvas for their carefully sourced botanicals that include juniper, coriander, angelica, cinnamon, tailed pepper, Meyer Lemons, orris, licorice, and grains of paradise. The botanicals are introduced in one single run inside their American-made pot still. The resulting Gin is charming interpretation of a classic London Dry — delicious.

Brand Story

Owners Michael and Jenny Griffo create small-batch spirits in the heart of California's Sonoma County. This region is world-renowned for it's great wines and in recent years it has been an incubator for creative craft distillers. With a physics doctorate at their back, this husband and wife duo are dedicated to uniting the disciplines of craft and science to create delicious and complex spirits that are pleasingly sold at consumer-friendly prices. The produce Vodka, Gin, a series of Whiskies, Brandy, Liqueurs, and a few canned cocktails. This is an American craft distiller to watch.

Tasting Note

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is beautifully aromatic offering scents of juniper and citrus zest with accents of forest floor, cardamom, and hints of pickling spices. The palate is in full accord with the nose delivering a vibrant, juniper-driven core with generous notes of lemon and spice with subtle accents of sea salt. Full-bodied and ideally balanced with the sprite spirit and botanicals being supported by a generous dose of acidity making it a pleasure to sip. $34 –

How to Serve

The Griffo Scott Street Gin is incredibly versatile working well in most of the classic Gin cocktails. We love it in a classic Gimlet.
