Beverage of the Week (BOW)

Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen (Germany)

Product Story

The great Beers from Ayinger have been available in the US for decades. Our BOW, the great Oktober Fest-Märzen is available August through October or as long as it lasts. It's a seasonal beer brewed in March and destined to be ready for Oktoberfest. It's perfectly balanced and an ideal pairing to a wide range of German favorites like goulash, weiner schnitzel, roasted chicken, or just a warm, baked pretzel.

Brand Story

Ayinger has been producing incomparable Beers for more than 130 years. The brewery sits in the small, 1,200 year-old village of Aying just 25 kilometers to the southeast of Munich. This is a taste of Bavaria in the glass.

Tasting Note

Brilliant bright amber with a generous lacy head. Perfumed, bready, sweet malt aromas that show hints of dry caramel. Crisp, caramel malt flavors have classic sweet Bavarian accent. Malt flavors are offset by gentle hop notes on the finish and lingers with a dry malt note.

How to Serve

Serve chilled in a tall glass. It pairs so well roasted pork, bock-wurst, weiner schnitzel, roasted chicken, and dumplings.
