Ninety percent of the Chardonnay is sourced from the Napa Valley with 10% coming from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. This bold and complex Chardonnay is ready to drink. Winemaker Jane Halahan Valentin, owner and winemaker at boutique Vellichor Wines, has crafted the Plow & Stars Chardonnay.
Tasting Note
Brilliant, medium gold/green color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of white peach and tropical fruit with supporting notes of nectarine, butterscotch, and blanched almonds. The palate confirms the nose delivering a tropical fruits-driven core with flavors of lychee and lemon curd. The finish is long and lingering with sweet oak accents. Medium to full-bodied and nicely balanced with a creamy texture.
How to Serve
Serve chilled with seared scallops, crab cakes, or herb & butter roasted chicken.
