Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is wonderfully seductive and somewhat decadent with waves of vanilla and an intriguing sweet minerality. The palate affirms the unique and complex nose being lush and silky with a mildly sweet and pleasingly assertive minerality that finishes completely dry. Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of raspberry, blackberry, lavender, thyme flowers, and hibiscus flower with supporting notes of blueberry concentrate and five spice. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of plum, black cherry, and hints of rosemary. The finish is long and lingering with chewy, black tea tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a opulent yet vibrant texture. $65 4.5 Stars/96 points

Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of black currant, campfire, and plum with supporting notes of slate, smoked meat, and cardamon. The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black fruits, black tea, and five spice with hints of earth. The finish is long and lingering with classically firm Tannat tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a meaty and supple texture. $45 4.5 Stars/95 points
