Product Story

Silent Pool Distillers is an artisan distillery located on the Albury Estate at the foot of the Surrey Hills in England. Silent Pool is made with a unique four-stage process that utilizes different methods of extracting essential oils based on the total oils and heartiness of the botanical. In all, 24 botanicals are used including two varieties of juniper, kaffir lime, lavender, grains of paradise, and many more. It is a true craft product requiring a hands-on approach from beginning to end.

Brand Story

Silent Pool is made in unique facility that marries "old school" tools and techniques with technology. The distillery is housed in a group of neglected farm buildings on the banks of Silent Pool on the Duke of Northumberland's Albury Estate. Silent Pool is a spring-fed lake in Surrey, England and is considered by some to be a sacred site. The spirits, five in all, are created in a hand-built copper still that's powered by a vintage wood-fired steam boiler.

Tasting Note

Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is amazingly aromatic with waves of bright juniper supported by generous notes of dried flowers and citrus with a subtle sweet honey accent. The palate echoes the nose delivering a dense and nearly chewy juniper-forward spirit with an impossibly complex mélange of spices in support finishing dry with a faint earthy tone. Full-bodied with gusto to spare being both assertive and elegant while ultimately finishing dry. Made with an intriguing four-stage process that utilizes 24 botanicals. How to Serve
