Scharffenberger Brut Rosé Excellence Mendocino NV
Brilliant, light ruby color with a fine bead of bubbles. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of strawberry and mulberry with supporting notes of red cherry, persimmon, orange peel, and slate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a ripe orchard fruits-driven core with flavors of raspberry, peach, and pear. The finish is long and lingering. Medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a vibrant texture. $27 – 4 Stars/92 points

Spirits Reviews

Citadelle Vive le Cornichon Gin
Brilliant, crystal clear. The nose is very intense with scents of complex herbaceous notes, juniper, pickling spices (including mustard seeds), and cucumber with loads of sea salt and vinegar. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush, green core with waves of tart pickles with a generous spice and salt addition that finishes with a sour note. Full-bodied with ideal balance offering expressive and unique flavors that may sound odd to some but it absolutely works. $29.99 – 4.5 Stars

Black Irish — Irish Cream
Dense and viscous, mocha cream color. The nose is subtle while the scents of Whiskey are certainly wafting upwards supported by notes of milk chocolate, mocha, and roasted hazelnuts. The palate echoes the nose delivering a lush and creamy core with flanking notes of shaved chocolate, marzipan, double cream, vanilla, and Irish Whiskey. Rich and generous without being cloying with perfect balance that begs for the next sip. A dessert in a glass. $29 – 4.5 Stars
