Seven Irresistible Spring Cocktails for 2026

Has spring sprung, or is it being shy? Are we going to finally shake off the winter blues that set in with the coming of February and taunt us through all of March? So many questions, but all I want to know is, what are we drinking tonight? Our seven Spring Cocktails for 2026 have the answers.

We are seasonal drinkers (and eaters), and we don’t believe we are alone. Restaurants change their menus seasonally for this very reason. We crave different things in winter than we do in the August heat. It’s natural. When spring arrives, it brings more than just warmer temperatures; it brings optimism. When you watch that last patch of snow disappear and think, Could that be it until winter? You need a list of spring cocktails to welcome the new season.

Today, I submit my eclectic collection of spring cocktails. Just because it’s getting warmer doesn’t mean that the brown spirits hide away — there is no chance of that. It means the citrus-influenced drinks will pop a bit more. All of these drinks can be executed at home with relative ease. They require no special equipment beyond basic barware. While most of this list won’t cause you to reach for the paper cocktail umbrellas, it will signal a time of longer days, warmer sunsets, and sun on your face.

Our 7 Spring Cocktails for 2026

Festive BevX Sangria — Sangria is the perfect cocktail for a spring lunch gathering. It’s festive, can be made ahead, and your guests can serve themselves. Our recipe is easy to make, and once you have tried it, I’m confident that you’ll make this part of your regular rotation. — Get the Recipe

Vesper — The Vesper is the perfect cocktail when you are trying to channel your inner Bond. It’s just three ingredients and in classic Bond style, it’s shaken, not stirred. The Vesper is a great reason to buy a bottle of Lillet, and once you have it, use it in a spritz or just serve it over ice with a bit of soda. Serve in moderation — one is often enough. — Get the Recipe

The Italian Daiquiri — The Daiquiri is a classic cocktail that has seen more than its share of modifications and variations through the years. We love the original, but this Italian version, made with Limoncello, is ultra-refreshing and simple to make. — Get the Recipe

Ginicello — This cocktail was invented on a steamy summer’s night, where, after a few cocktails, I was torn between a Margarita or a cool Gin & Tonic. It’s easy to make and can even be batched for optimal ease when entertaining. It’s the second drink on this year’s list that calls for Limoncello… — Get the Recipe

Classic Mojito — All that is standing between you and home-made Mojito creations is a muddler. This drink is all about balance, mixing a few ingredients with care in the right proportions to create a refreshing spring drink. — Get the Recipe

Mai Tai — Victor Bergeron, best known as Trader Vic, created this classic cocktail in 1944. The flavors are complex and multi-layered, while the bright citrus notes make this an ultra thirst-quenching drink. Make this with or without a cheeky Tiki glass. — Get the Recipe

Whiskey Sour — The Whiskey Sour is the ideal aperitif, and it is not too shabby after dinner either. This may not seem like a spring cocktail to some, but any shaken, citrus-infused drink calls out spring and summer in our minds. — Get the Recipe
