Avignonesi Cantaloro IGT Toscano 2019
Brilliant, deep ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of red cherry, currants, and forest floor with supporting notes of cocoa, oak, and violet. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red fruit-driven core with flavors of blueberry, red plum, and mineral and hints of wild mint. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a meaty texture. Made with a blend of 51% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 23% Merlot, with small amounts of Syrah, and Canaiolo. $14.99 – 4 Stars/92 points

Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Brilliant, gold to amber color. The nose is filled with the scents of almond butter, caramel, and toasted cereal with accents of vanilla, maple, and cloves. The palate echoes the nose delivering a maple and toffee driven core with toasted oak, steeped grains, dark chocolate, and coconut. Full-bodied with good balance and great length on the palate as it becomes drier with earth accents. Their signature high-malt recipe with 51% corn, 34% malted barley, and 15% rye. Old Elk Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Brilliant, amber color. The nose is filled with the scents of sweet butter toffee and caramel with accents of vanilla, butterscotch, and brown sugar. The palate is in accord with the nose delivering a roasted nut-driven core with clove, nutmeg, black pepper, and oak. Full-bodied with nice balance and a tannic grip rising on the finish. $69.99 – 4 Stars
Old Elk Straight Rye Whiskey
Brilliant, gold to amber color. The nose is filled with the assertive scents of Christmas spices supported by waves of baked peaches, mace, cinnamon, vanilla cream, and caramel. The palate is in full agreement with the nose delivering a lush, baked orchard fruit-driven core with waves of caramel, spicy rye, oak, and allspice. Full-bodied with ideal balance and great length on the palate as it becomes drier with accents of cloves. $79.99 – 4.5 Stars
