Beverage of the Week

Tablas Creek Vermentino Adelaida District 2019Tablas Creek Vermentino Adelaida District 2019
There is precious little Vermentino grown in America and that’s a shame. Nearly every Sauvignon Blanc drinker loves Vermentino when they try it. Vermentino is typically high in acid with flavors of grapefruit, green apple, peach, and lime with hints of blanched almonds and spring flowers. Taels Creek has proven to be Vermentino masters… See the Beverage of the Week feature

Wine Reviews

2Hawk Grenache Rogue Valley 2017
Brilliant, medium ruby color. The aromatics are very intense offering scents of blackberry and cassis with supporting notes of boysenberry jam, five spice, leather, and slate. The palate confirms the nose delivering a black fruit-driven core with flavors of black plum, forest floor, and dried herbs. The finish is long and lingering with supple tannins. Medium to full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a opulent yet vibrant texture. $32 4.5 Stars/95 points

Spirits Reviews

The Bitter Truth Pinkgin Spiced Navy Flavored Gin
Very pale salmon color, crystal clear. The nose is very floral and fruity with waves of juniper and citrus and subtle notes of licorice. The palate is quite different than the nose as it delivers a bitter, pithy citrus core with tannic spice accents that fade on a thin finish. Medium-bodied and lacking a pleasing texture found in many Gins while highlighting citrus pith. We are not sure what they were aiming for in this Gin but we can’t imagine that they hit the mark. $39.99 – 2.5 Stars
