Beverage of the Week

Tongue Dancer Pratt Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2021Tongue Dancer Pratt Vine Hill Vineyard Chardonnay Russian River Valley 2021
When Tongue Dancer Wines introduced their Pratt Vine Hill Chardonnay last year we really hoped that they would create a follow-up release. Spoiler alert — they did. The 2021 vintage is a bigger, more opulent wine but still shows incredible balance and a generous dose of acidity that made their inaugural release so remarkable…

Wine Reviews

Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2012
Brilliant, medium ruby color. The aromatics are intense, offering scents of bramble and licorice with supporting notes of earth, dried herbs, and black tea. The palate confirms the nose delivering a red and black fruits-driven core with flavors of black plum, sour cherry, raspberry, and leather. The finish is long and lingering with chewy tannins. Full-bodied and perfectly balanced with a supple texture. This wine is in its youth and it will develop and further harmonize with another decade in bottle. $130 – 4.5 Stars/95 points

Spirits Reviews

Sorel Liqueur
Brilliant, opaque, deep ruby color. The nose is redolent of hot drinks served in European Christmas markets featuring scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and bright red fruits derived from hibiscus with hints of ginger, pepper, and a complex herbal mélange. The palate echoes the nose delivering a vibrant yet generous red fruit and cinnamon-driven core with five spice and ginger candies. Medium-bodied and lively while wonderfully intense. $42 – 5 Stars

Edinburgh Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur
Brilliant, faint salmon color. The aromatics are quite interesting with ripe red berries in the lead with juniper, pine, rhubarb, and roses in support. The palate is much sweeter than the nose would suggest delivering a sweet red berry core with spicy ginger and semi tart rhubarb accents. Full-bodied with Liqueur levels of sugar that offers enough spice to be a candidate for a contemporary cocktail. $32.99 – 3.5 Stars
